YEAR 6 RESIDENTIAL AT HIGH ASHURST

Day 3 - Friday at 1:40pm

After a great few days, Year 6 are on their way back to school and can be picked up as normal at 3.20pm from their class.

Day 3 - Friday at 10am

Morning everyone. After a good sleep and a delicious breakfast, we are now setting off for our final activities with the sun shining. We should be setting off around 1pm after lunch and back at school before assembly, ready for a normal pickup at 3.20pm.

Day 2 - Thursday at 7pm

Another fantastic day at High Ashurst. Children challenged themselves and showed their resilience on the high ropes. They also had the opportunity to take part in archery and make their own fire in Woodland Skills.

One more day of fun to go!

Day 2 - Thursday at 8:30am

The evening activities were enjoyed by all: a long, evening walk learning about the history of High Ashurst followed by a group camp fire. After an 'early' night, children woke refreshed and we headed off for a delicious breakfast.

The weather is still fine for what promises to be an action packed day on the high ropes.

day 1 – Wednesday at 5pm

After enjoying our packed lunches, we took part in our first activity session. Half the children went to tackle the challenge course and the other half to the climbing wall. Children pushed themselves to show courage and climb as high as they could, many reaching the top. Luckily, the weather has stayed fine so far.

Soon, we are all off to dinner together and then evening activities (a walk and campfire) before a long and restful sleep ready for breakfast at 7.45am and a full day of activities tomorrow.

DAY 1 - WEDNESDAY AT 1:25PM

All have arrived safely, eaten and are currently enjoying settling into our tents.

Year 5 Residential at Aylmerton

Day 3 – Friday at 4:30pm

The current estimated arrival time will be between 6:15pm and 6:30pm.

Day 3 – Friday at 3:20pm

Due to traffic, it is likely that Year 5 will arrive back to school closer to 6pm. We hope to have another update around 4:30pm.

Day 3 – Friday at 12:30pm

With the bags packed, the children left promptly at 12:30pm.

Day 3 – Friday at 8:30am

Morning. Another fresh start to the day after the children went to bed without much fuss last night.

Having just had a cooked breakfast, we will be putting our bags and cases on the coach and heading off to the beach for a morning of rock pooling and playing on the sand. After our picnic lunch, we will be starting the trip back to school at about 12:30. We will keep you updated with our arrival time at Wray Common.

Day 2 – Thursday at 10:25pm

After watching the sun set over the Norfolk broads, we drove back to the activity centre where we had a world record, top speed shopping experience before dinner. After dinner we wrapped up warmly and armed with our torches headed out into the woods on a Wind in the Willows Quest. We tiptoed through the ‘Wild Woods’, located lots of mole hills, found a few possible homes for Badger before arriving at Toad hall. (Actually it was Felbrigg Hall but we’re sure Toad would have been very happy with it as a home.) We also visited George – the hollow oak tree.

Exhausted after so much fresh air bedtime was another smooth event.

Day 2 – Thursday at 8am

Good Morning. The sun is up, the day looks dry and the teachers are smiling due to a restful night! After a slight change of plan due to the weather, we ended last night with some great stories from the storyteller before going to bed. We are going in for a cooked breakfast before heading off to see the seals this morning and boating on the broads this afternoon.

Day 1 – Wednesday at 1:30pm

Everyone has arrived safe and sound! Lunch has been eaten and they are settling in well to start their activities at 2pm.

Day 1 – Wednesday at 10:50am

Year 5 have successfully wrapped up the initial stage of their adventure! The children have made a pit stop at the restrooms, enjoyed their snacks, and are now leaving the services. The estimated arrival at Aylmerton is 1:15pm due to bad traffic on the M25.
