On Friday, we were delighted to welcome coaches and players from Dorking Wanderers FC to our school! The children had a fantastic time meeting the team, learning from the coaches and enjoying some football fun. It was a brilliant visit, and the children absolutely loved it! #collaboration #dorkingwanderers

Year 3 launched their new instruction writing topic last week with a series of exciting practical activities. First, the children explored how Stone Age people made fire and discussed the importance of giving clear, precise instructions. They then put their instruction-giving skills to the test by directing adults on how to make a jam sandwich. What started as a simple task quickly turned into a very messy challenge! The children soon realised that instructions need to be detailed and accurate. It was a fun-filled morning of laughter, learning and lots of sticky fingers! #writing

As part of Year 1's history topic on the Great Fire of London, they had lots of fun building Tudor houses. They found out that in 1666 houses were built very close together and with the help of Mr Steel, they then set their houses on fire! They could see how quickly the fire spread because the houses were too close - it was amazing to see the flames and the smoke.
