R E D and S are also the initial letters of our house system. When entering the school each child is assigned a house. The house system at Wray Common is intended to give each child a sense of identity and team spirit with children from all year groups in the school.

Each house is led by an elected captain and vice-captain from Year 6. The house captains and vice-captains run house assemblies for all children in their house once a month. The assemblies cover themes such as school rules and keeping safe. There are also competitions to enter. During the summer term our school sports day and swimming galas are organised through the house system. Gaining house points for good team work and behaviour is part of our rewards system.
