Extended Services

Welcome to the Extended Services at Wray Common Primary School. We have been established for many years and pride ourselves on our before and after school care. All the children attend Wray Common School and are able to establish friendships with different age groups.

General Information

Early Birds Breakfast Club

Early Birds opening times: 7:45 a.m. to 8:40 a.m.  (Monday-Friday term time)

Breakfast is included and comprises a selection of cereals, toast, juice, fruits and yoghurt.  The children are shown to class afterwards by breakfast club staff.

After School Club (ASC)

ASC opening times: 3:00 p.m. to 6: 00 p.m. (Monday-Friday term time)

During our sessions many activities are held such as arts and crafts, team games, quiet area to rest if necessary, videos, board games and many more. If the weather is good we take the children outside to burn off some energy. At about 4.30pm, we serve tea.  This is a snack to keep the children going after a long day at school.

Children aged 4 and over in full time education within Wray Common School may be admitted to the club providing their parent/carer is in agreement with the terms and conditions and that there are places available. We will need full details about your child, such as allergies, contact numbers (in case of emergency), etc.

Charges

A £15.00 registration fee is payable on acceptance of a place.  Following a review, the fees from January 2012 for Extended Services (Early Birds and After School Club) will be:

• Early Birds – £2.75 per child per session
• ASC – £8.00 per child per session

Payment is required half-termly in advance. For clarification, we will still require payment for children failing to attend when a place has been reserved, as is standard practice. All accounts must be settled by the end of each half term. There is a late pick up penalty. For the first 15 minutes the charge will be £5 and £5 for every 5 minutes thereafter. Persistent offenders may be denied a place at the ASC. We have the facility for on-line banking.  If you are interested, please speak to the Manager for the ASC bank details.  We also accept childcare vouchers.

Behaviour Management

The Club follows the school’s Behaviour Policy. We have very few rules and those are entirely for the welfare and safety of the children and to assist the smooth running of the club.
